I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! I’ve been taking a break from the craft room for a couple of weeks and couldn’t wait to get back in it!
The new Occasions Catalog is coming out Jan. 4th and Sale-a-Bration starts! During Sale-A-Bration, if you spend $50 you can earn free products from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. And I can’t wait to share some goodies from the new catalog and the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is I am able to purchase product before it officially comes out to the public! Yay!
One of the free stamp sets you can earn by spending $50 (starting Jan. 4th) is Hey Chick! This is a cute stamp set with cute sentiments. Check out the card I made using this set and the new watercolor pencils.
This set includes 3 cute chickens. I stamped my image onto Whisper White Cardstock with the Archival Black Ink. I let it set for a minute to dry. Then colored in with my watercolor pencils. I used the aqua painter to blend the the color. Since I did not use watercolor paper, I was careful not to use too much water to blend. It doesn’t take much. I love the looks of the watercolor pencils.
I used the new designer series paper called Cupcakes and Carousels. I embellished it with linen thread and a clothespin.
Here are the supplies and measurements I used:
Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Scored at 4 1/4″
The coral calypso is cut to 5″ x 3 1/8″
The image layer is cut to 2 7/8″ x 4 7/8″
The circle Designer Series paper is 3″
The small strip of Designer Series Paper is 1/2″ x 5″
