This Little Piggy

7 / 24 / 17

I love all animals but usually don’t pay much attention to the animal stamp sets.  I usually gravitate to the flowers and sentiment sets.  But I love the new This Little Piggy Stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  So Cute!  There are a ton of ideas on Pinterest using this set.  All of these cards came directly from there.  Here’s a look at the stamp set:

Already makes you smile, right?  Ok here are the cards I made with it so far.

On this card I used sponge daubers to make the oval and color the pig.  It was a fast way to add color and since I was cutting out I didn’t have to stay in the lines.  Paper is from Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and piece of Tranquil Tide and Pool Party Card stock.  The base of the card uses Soft Suede Card Stock.  Here’s the inside:

Simple sentiment but so cute.  Probably could have added a cloud or two inside to dress it up.

Next card is using the Delightful Daisy DSP on a Daffodil Delight Card base.  I used blender pens to color in everything.

Next card uses some In-Color DSP and Powder Pink Card Stock.  Love the sentiment on this one! 🙂

Last card uses one of my favorite color combinations from the new catalog; Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!  Remember during the Month of July is Bonus Days!  For every $50 you spend you get a $5 off coupon to use in August.  Use hostess code:  KU3YS6DC when placing an order.

Christmas in July with the Be Merry Suite!

7 / 17 / 17

We had a great time on Saturday at Christmas in July Stamp-a-Stack!  We used the Be Merry Suite from the Annual Catalog and created 10 cards (5 designs, 2 of each).  We enjoyed Christmas cookies, Christmas music and two of my friends brought a casserole and salad for lunch.  I love these ladies and it was so much fun creating with them!

I made a favor for each of them using the Wood crate Thinlets, Mini Wreaths, and the tree stamp from the Merry Mistletoe Stamp Set.  It turned out so cute!

I took inspiration from the catalog for my cards.  I used Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler Ink and Card stock, Whisper White Card stock, and Old Olive Ink.

This card features the Be Merry DSP, Gold Glimmer Paper, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock cut with the Layering Square Framlits and Stitched Framlits.

The next card was inspired by the catalog.  The catalog had a very similar card  and I just changed it up a bit.

The last two cards were found on pinterest.  I changed them just a little.

Enjoy and I hope you find time to create today!

Thoughts and Prayers

7 / 14 / 177 / 7 / 17

I wanted to show two more cards today using the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. These cards are very simple and basically the same card with just a sentiment and paper change. I used the Butterflies Thinlets on both of them.

I used Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper on both cards. The largest square from Stitched Framlits,  Whisper White Card stock for the card base,  Pool Party Card Stock for one butterfly and Calypso Coral Card Stock for the other butter fly.

I used the Get Well sentiment on one and Praying for you on one.  If you look closely you can see a bit of glimmer on the butterflies.  I used Wink of Stella on both.

Sympathy

7 / 12 / 177 / 7 / 17

We all need sympathy cards and get well cards. A great stamp set for this is Thoughts & Prayers. Sometimes during difficult times, it’s hard to know the right words to say and this set helps with that so much. It has sentiments for the outside AND the inside. So over the next couple of days I’ll be showing you some simple sympathy and get well cards to make using this set.

These cards were inspired by pinterest (my favorite resource).  My first card only uses the sentiments and Designer Series Paper and of course ribbon.

I used Whisper White Card Base and a Whisper White mat.  I used a piece of Designer Series Paper from Delightful Daisy.  Stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Ink.  Added a bow using Peekaboo Peach Striped Cross Grain ribbon.  Easy peesy!

Just for You Watercolor Words

7 / 11 / 177 / 7 / 17

Today, I want to show you my last card inspiration using WaterColor Words.  I cased it from pinterest.   Now this card took a bit of time but I love the look and the colors!

There are so many pieces so let me list the supplies:

Cardbase:  Temping Turquoise Card Stock, Card Stock for Flowers is Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizzaz,  White embossing Powder, Basic Black Baker’s Twine, Basic Black Card Stock and Ink, Rhinestones, Layered Leaves Texture Folder and Lots of Labels Framelits.

The flowers and leaves are heat embossed using white embossing powder then I cut them out (a little time consuming).  The card base, I ran thru the BigShot with the Layered Leaves Texture Folder.  I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut out paper for the sentiment.  The Rhinestones I colored with a black sharpie (yes you can do that!).

Hope you enjoyed this card and I hope I’ve inspired you to purchase the WaterColor Words Stamp set.

Happy Birthday and Watercolor Wonder

7 / 9 / 177 / 7 / 17

Happy Birthday cards are my most requested cards, whether I’m making them for someone to purchase or someone wants me to teach them how to make one.  So I wanted to show you a super quick card using WaterColor Words.

There are a couple of things make this set pop without too much work.  First is the Designer Series Paper.  This Paper is Delightful Daisy and it’s double sided and has the cutest images.  I really didn’t even measure these, I just guesstimated and adhered them on a mat base of Whisper White measure 5 1/4″ x 4″.  The next pop is the ribbon.  If you’ve followed me long, you know I love ribbon!  This is double stitched Daffodil Delight Ribbon.  Whenever I use ribbon, I almost always use a mat piece and after attached ribbon will adhere the mat to the base.  This is to cover up the back where the ribbon is.  (hope that makes sense.)  I used Lot of Labels framelits for the sentiment.  The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy.

Watercolor Words and Color

7 / 7 / 17

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We enjoyed a day with family and friends! Good food, good conversation, and great people. Besides the heat, I really love the lazy days of summer.

I’ve had plenty of time to play with some of my less used stamp sets. Watercolor Words is one of those sets that I don’t see used often but I love it’s simplicity and how easy it is to use to make a quick card!

I looked at pinterest for inspiration and found a few ideas.   Over the next few days I’ll share some of my cards using this set.

This card uses Crumb Cake as it’s base.  The mat is cut from the same Crumb Cake paper and I’ve heat embossed white hearts on the bottom half.  I used layering circles in Berry Burst Paper and Stitched Framelits for the sentiment.  I used a Blender Pen and colored in the heart using Berry Burst Ink.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Ink.  I tied a Berry Burst Ribbon around the mat and then adhered it to the base.  I used Wink of Stella and flicked little droplets onto the finished card to add some shine.  I love how it turned out!   Enjoy today and create something!
