K-Cup Merry Cafe Treat Holder

12 / 20 / 17

Christmas is almost here!  I’m so excited!  It’s one of my favorite holidays and I love to give little gifts!  I think this one of super cute, maybe to give to a co-worker, teacher, or leave in the mailbox for your mail person.  It’s super easy to put together too!

Here is your free tutorial:

  1.  Cut a piece of Garden Green card stock to 2″ x 11″.
  2. Score at 4 1/2″ and 6 1/2″.
  3. Use Scallop Topper punch on both ends.
  4. Cut a 3 15/16″ square out of Garden Green card stock and score at 1″ all the way around.
  5. Then trim tabs as shown below.  This will make the box close easier.
  6. Score square piece on score lines and use Tombow Liquid Glue to close.  You can also use tear and tape to close.  Snail will not be strong enough to hold it closed.
  7. Then glue it to the base using liquid glue.
  8. I created the little coffee cup using the Merry Cafe Stamp set and Coffee Cups Framelits.  The Paper is Be Merry Designer Series Paper.
  9. I used VersaMark ink and stamped small snowflakes on the front of the treat holder.  The stamp is part of the Merry Cafe Stamp set.
  10. Close the top with a binder clip and add a ribbon. I added the silver snowflake using the dies from Colorful Seasons Bundle.

Here are the supplies for this treat holder:

Mini Cup Treat Holder

12 / 18 / 17

I originally posted this little cup last Christmas but it’s so cute, I had to repeat it!  🙂

I love things in small packages and this mini cup made me smile when I saw it. I wish I had created this cute little cup, but I didn’t. I saw two tutorials on pinterest. So credit for this project goes to a UK demonstrator, Heidi Smith at flutterbyheidi and Mel Pagano at My Paper Oasis.

So you can check out their tutorials and mine to get all the scoop!

IMG_6067

You will need a piece of Designer Series Paper (I used my fav, Candy Cane Lane) that is 5 3/4″ x 3 1/4″. And score the long side at 7/8″, 1 3/4″, 2 5/8″, 3 1/2″, 4 3/8″, and 5 1/4″. Score the short side at 1″ and 2 1/4″.
IMG_6068

Then trim the tab as shown and cut up to the score line on what will be the bottom of the cup.
IMG_6069

Next, fold over the top rim of the cup and here with snail.
IMG_6071

Now start folding the cup closed.
IMG_6072

Put a glue dot on the tab and insert into the other side of the cup.
IMG_6073
Turn the cup over and flare out the flaps. Put a glue dot on every other tab.
IMG_6075
Then glue opposite ends together as shown until the bottom of the cup is completed.
IMG_6076IMG_6077IMG_6078

To add stability to the cup, cut out scalloped circle (1 3/4″) and adhere one to the inside of the cup and one on the bottom.
IMG_6080

For the handle, cut a strip of paper that is 1/2″ x 3″. Use your fingers to curl it slightly.
IMG_6082
Adhere with glue dots.
IMG_6083
And it’s done!
IMG_6084

I’m filling mine with hershey kisses! Merry Christmas!

Candle Stamping for Christmas

12 / 15 / 1712 / 18 / 17

Christmas season is here and I love it!  Something about Christmas makes me want to get crafty.  I saw a youtube video on how to make these candles and went to the dollar store to get some and try it.  Turns out you don’t have to actually stamp directly on the candle but on tissue paper instead.  After posting a picture of my completed candles everyone wanted me to make a video showing how.  So here’s the video and let me know if you make some of these beautiful candles!

Here are the stamp sets I used:

Teacher Gifts

12 / 4 / 1712 / 18 / 17

It’s December and even though it doesn’t feel like December here, I’ve been working on Christmas Teacher Gifts. It is suppose to be 80 degrees here today! Too hot but these cute little ornaments makes me think of snow.

My high schooler has finals this week before winter break so I worked hard this weekend to get teacher gifts ready for her to handout today.  They turned out super cute!

I found the idea on pinterest and CASED it (copy and share everything).  I used the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Hearts Come Home Bundle from the Holiday catalog.  I hope her teachers like them.  🙂

Here is a list of supplies I used:

Hearts Come Home Gift Tags

11 / 29 / 1712 / 18 / 17

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with lots of family time.  I enjoyed being with family and some down time.  Now I’m ready for Christmas decorating and gift giving.  I came across an idea for gift tags on Pinterest using the Hearts Come Home stamp set.  I used that idea to design some of my own.  And I’m offering them as a Class-to-Go kit!

1 more sleep till Disney!!

12 / 14 / 16

I cannot wait for our vacation and it starts tomorrow! Many were concerned I would not finish my 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration (I was too) but I think I’ll make it by squeezing these last 3 days into posting all on the same day. 🙂

A few weeks ago, I made a matchbook card at my mil that was just precious.
IMG_6035

I want to share one with you that is similar but smaller, the perfect size to hold a gift card.

IMG_6188

Cut a piece of cardstock to 8 1/4″ x 11″. Score on short size at 1″, 4 3/4″, 5″. Turn to long side and cut in half at 5 1/2″.
Then cut that in half again at 2 3/4″. Cut the other half. So out of one piece of cardstock you end up with 4 of these holders.
IMG_6182

Then fold on all the score lines. Staple short bottom flap in the middle at about 1/8″ from the bottom.
IMG_6183

Cut some designer series paper at 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and another piece at 2 1/2″ x 3/4″. Adhere to outside of matchbook.

IMG_6186IMG_6187

A tied a bow on the top flap and will use that to hold my gift card in. Next cut a white piece at 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ for the inside. And here it is all put together.

IMG_6189

I will insert the gift card on the upper flap under the ribbon and write a message on the white part. Super cute and easy to mass produce these and add that personal touch to a gift card!

Day 10-Christmas Inspiration Sweet Home Ornament

12 / 14 / 16

I love anything miniature! Miniature horses, micro pigs, tiny fairy gardens, my christmas villages. So when Stampin’ Up! came out with the Sweet Home Bundle, I knew I wanted it! Cute little houses in all themes, my dream come true!

I found this cute ornament on pinterest but didn’t see who created them! I had to try one on my own. Turned out so cute!

Here’s the video tutorial. I know I need to speak louder in these videos, I noticed when I’m really concentrating on the project, I either forget to talk or I talk softly. 🙂

Day 9- Christmas Inspiration Hello December Project Life

12 / 13 / 16

Now that the kids are almost grown, I don’t scrapbook as much as I use to but I do still enjoy making an album for Christmas. Project Life was the answer for me, it’s fast, easy to journal, easy to put together and looks great when done. Last year, I decided to do one through Stampin’ Up and I loved it. Mainly because, like all Stampin’ Up Products it coordinated. And the front was totally customizable. So this is my second year to do a Hello December Project Life album through Stampin’ Up. I’d like to share some pictures of what I’ve done so far and then I’ll tell you how I take my pictures and get them printed.

IMG_6120IMG_6121IMG_6123IMG_6124IMG_6125IMG_6141IMG_6142IMG_6143IMG_6144IMG_6145IMG_6146IMG_6147IMG_6159IMG_6160IMG_6161IMG_6162IMG_6163IMG_6164IMG_6165IMG_6166IMG_6167IMG_6168IMG_6169IMG_6170IMG_6171IMG_6172IMG_6173IMG_6174IMG_6175IMG_6176

Once I have my album set up. I decide what pictures go where. I use December Daily prompts to help guide my picture taking. I posted one a couple of weeks ago. And I also have my album with 1-2 pages committed for each day in December, you definitely don’t have to do it this way but I enjoy this memory keeping system.

After I’ve taken the pictures and decided where in the album they are going, I can decide what sizes they need to be. You will need sizes 4″x6″, 4″x3″ and 2″x2″. I use an app called PicFrame to set up my pictures. I use the 4:3 ratio and can get two 4″x3″ or 6 2″x2″ on each 4″ x 6″ piece of photo paper. I save them back to my camera roll and send them to Walgreens for printing.

Sometimes I want to add text to the front of my pictures and I use an app called Pixlr.

Another option for printing these different sizes that I’ve been looking into is Persnickety. They have an actual project life service that you can use to print pictures.

I hope you enjoy making your Hello December Album. Let me know if you have questions! Merry Christmas!

Day 8-Christmas Inspiration Tic tac holders

12 / 12 / 16

I’ve got a cute little stocking stuffer for you today. This cute tic tac holder is fast and easy to make.
IMG_6130
Start with a 4 5/8″ x 3″ of cardstock and round the corners. Score at 2″ and 2 1/2″. Then cut a piece of Designer Series Paper to 1 5/8″ x 2 7/8″.IMG_6126

Adhere DSP to cardstock using snail.
IMG_6127

Put a piece of snail on back of tic tacs and adhere to inside of cardstock.
IMG_6128

Now close it up with some ribbon or cording.
IMG_6129

I added a snowflake on a white circle and then adhered that to a real red scalloped circle. I attached it using dimensionals to the front. Enjoy! 🙂

Day 6-Christmas Inspiration Gift Bags!

12 / 10 / 16

After the presents are all bought, wrapped, tagged, and put under the tree, I always think of a few more people I want to give a little something to. Maybe something small like homemade candy or cookies, or a special card, gift card. And then what do I wrap that little something in. These cute little gift bags are perfect for those last little gifts you need want to give.

IMG_6057

These are easy to make and they are just soo cute! I started with kraft gift bags from Stampin’Up! They are about 6 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
The first step is running them through the Big Shot with the Cable Knit texture folder.
IMG_6045

Next use versa mark ink to stamp snowflakes to prepare for heat embossing. These snowflakes came from a stamp in the Christmas Pines Stamp set. They are perfectly snowy. 🙂
IMG_6046
After stamping I sprinkled white embossing powder on them. Now they are ready for the heat gun and the magic happens. Those snowflakes just make me smile. 🙂
IMG_6049

Then I cut strips of Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper. This paper is perfect because if has lots of prints that remind me of sweaters all warm and fuzzy ready to face the snow. I cut the strips into 4 3/4 ” x 1 1/2″ pieces.
IMG_6051
I used snail to adhere them to the bags.
IMG_6052

Then I added some bakers twine. The easiest way for me to add bakers twine with a bow is to do the wrap of baker’s twine separately from the bow. I use glue dots to adhere it all to the bag.
IMG_6054IMG_6055

These cute little Christmas trinkets are the perfect embellishment to go on with the bow!
IMG_6053IMG_6056

They turned out so cute and are ready for stuffing!
