After a long break, I’m back to my routine and have had a chance to make cards!  This was a quick card to put together using Designer Series Paper Painted Petals.

Purple Plum Sheltering Tree

3 / 8 / 15

I love the Sheltering Tree stamp set. Growing up we had what we called a purple plum tree. It was beautiful with pink blossoms in the spring time turning into purple leaves. I don’t remember ever getting any plums from it but it sure was beautiful to look at. That memory was the inspiration for this card.

Blue & Yellow Thinking of You Card

3 / 6 / 15

So I had so much fun with my last blue and yellow card, I wanted to repeat that theme with this one.  I used the Painted Petals Designer Series Paper.  The fastest way to make a cute card is to use the Designer Paper, the patterns are so cute and if you need a quick card just add a sentiment and your are ready!  The sentiment I used is from Sheltering Tree, I love the fancy writing look.  🙂

Blue & Yellow and You Made My Day!

3 / 4 / 15

I’ve been doing a lot of pink and green cards lately because…basically….I love pink!  But also it reminds me of Spring which I am eagerly awaiting.  There is another color combo that reminds me of Spring and it’s blue and yellow.  I made this card for a sketch challenge and I love how it turned out.  I used my new favorite paper Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper from Stampin up!  Lots of possibilities with this paper. Oh and the “You Made My Day” sentiment is from the Best Day Ever Stamp Set that I earned for free!  Also want to know how I made regular ribbon into cute scrunched ribbon, come to my next class!  🙂blue&yellowyoumademyday

Sweet friend card

2 / 26 / 15

I am blessed to have many sweet friends in my life and I can’t wait to give this card to one of them.  I used the Painted petals stamp set!  And this is the a great time to order it during Sale-a-bration when you can get free products for every $50 you spend.

I used a dauber with Strawberry slush to put on the edges of the flowers.  It gives them a little dimension.  Here are the supplies I used to make this cute card.  The round scalloped die is something from my stash.

Sheltering Tree Card

2 / 20 / 15

I used the Sheltering Tree Stamp set.  This card reminds me of Spring and makes me happy.  Right now, in Texas, it’s been very mild and spring like.  That suppose to change in a few days with a chance of ice and snow but looking at this card reminds me that Spring is not far away.  🙂  Oh and the swing makes me smile too!  🙂shelteringtree1

You are Amazing Bookmark Card

2 / 19 / 15

Painted Petals is one of my favorite stamp sets right now.  It’s the flowers that get me and all the color possibilities.  Also the Panted Petals paper is beautiful….so much so, that I hate to cut it!  🙂  I saw a youtube video recently showing how to use the perforated rotary blade from Stampin’ up to make a bookmark card.  I like how it’s a card but also a bookmark.
