We’ve had days and days of rain. So I needed something springy. Love the new Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalog! It’s super springy! This cute little card made with the Fruit Basket Bundle, featuring some of that DSP, came together really quick.
I love the little strip of designer series paper, the doily, and of course the fruit! Some of the fruit I stamped directly on the paper but some I punched out and glued on; so the fruit is layered and it gives it a little dimension. The white heat embossed sentiment really pops on that red!
Here are the details:
Pear Pizzaz Card base: 8.5″x5.5″, scored at 4.25″
Designer Series Paper strip: 2″x5.5″
Sentiments strips using Real Red Cardstock: width is .5″ and then trim length once you’ve stamped
I have two kids with birthdays in Feb. and my niece with a March birthday and it keeps me busy this time of year. They are having a Bob Ross painting party this weekend, I’ll share some pics next week! 🙂
Here is a cute little birthday card I made using the Fruit Basket Bundle. Cute little pieces of fruit with matching punches and the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper are so fun!
This card was inspired by pinterest. I used aqua painters to color the background with Lemon Lime Twist Ink used on just regular Whisper White paper. You can get away with that if you don’t use very much water. If you use too much water it damages the paper. 🙂
Here are the measurements:
Lemon Lime Twist Card Base: 8.5″x5.5″, scored at 4.25″
Whisper White Cardstock Mat: 5.25″x4″
Strips of Designer Series Paper: .75″ x 3″, trim down to be as long or short as you want
I’ve got a super cute treat box to share with you that I made at a Valentine’s class this weekend. It’s super cute and super easy. It features the mini pizza boxes which are the perfect size for some candy or a homemade cookie (the inside is food safe). The background paper is Berry Burst Cardstock and the strip in the middle is Painted with Love Designer Series Paper. So pretty! I heat embossed the heart with gold embossing powder and then fussy cut the heart out.
Today is a perfect time to place an order for your valentine supplies. Sale-a-Bration is still going on and you can earn free product with every $50 purchase. The hostess code for February is G9FMVTK7. If your order is less than $150, please use the hostess code!
I’m so glad to be back in my craft studio this week after being sick last week. I’m playing along today with the Fab Friday Challenge! I chose the new Fruit Basket Stamp set! I love this cute little fruity stamp set with the matching punches. Here’s the sketch for this challenge:
I stayed pretty true to the sketch except I used a different shape in the center. I used the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper for the mat pieces on the card. Then I used the stamp set and punches to create the focal point. I love this paper! To create some interest on the left side of the card, I used versa-mark ink and randomly stamped a strawberry outline. It really helped balance the card.
It’s suppose to rain today and I don’t mind. It seems like we are always needing the rain here and something about clouds and rain makes me smile. 🙂
This stamp set, Weather Together, also makes me smile. It’s in the Annual Catalog and I’ve overlooked it several times but I started playing around with it the other day and I love it! There are stamps and a matching thinlet set.
I made several cards with this set that I will be sharing over the next few days. Remember during Sale-a-Bration you can order stuff from the Annual Catalog and earn free stuff thru the end of March (for every $50 in product). This is a super simple card using Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper.
I used A Good Day Stamp set again to make this card. This is a super cute stamp set and I love the addition of the embroidery hoops! Enjoy and create something today!
Hope you are having a good day! The stamp set I’m featuring today is called A Good Day and it’s from the New Occasions Catalog. These images make a cute card to give someone a “good day”!
And they coordinate perfectly with these tiny embroidery hoops!
The embroidery hoops come in a pack with two sizes and both coordinate well with the 1 3/8″ scallop punch. I have two cards for you to show off this cute set.
The first card uses Daffodil Delight Card Stock and I ran it thru the Big Shot with a embossing folder. This folder is a retired product but any polka dot folder would work to recreate this card. I stamped the image with Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Also used tiny rain drop from the stamp set Weather Together for the background on the tag. I used glue dots to adhere the embroidery hoop to the card.
Hi everyone! Hope your January is in full swing! My house is back to it’s regular routine and it feels great!
I’ve got some more great news…it’s Stampin’ Up Sale-a-Bration! That means there is a new Occasions catalog that just came out with lots of fun new stamps, paper, etc! AND the Sale-a-bration Brochure with all the free stuff is out too! (Both catalogs are on the right had side of my home page). For every $50 you order in products from any of the current catalogs you earn something from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Isn’t that fun? I love this time of year to stock up on supplies and earn free stamp sets at the same time.
If you really enjoy coloring, the one thing I recommend ordering, if you don’t already have them, is the new Stampin’ Blends! I recently played around with them on the Orchid Builder Bundle (annual catalog) and I loved how easy they were to use. Two things I like the most about them:
1. No marker lines! I hate when I try to color with regular markers and it leaves all those streaks. These markers do NOT do that!
2. Blending and shading. These markers come in two shades for each color (light and dark) and allows you to easily add shadows, highlighs and dimensions.
The first release of these markers will include 12 colors, two shades each plus a single ivory, bronze and color lifter. They are dual tipped, one side has a nub and one side has a brush tip. The complete set of markers (27) is $121.50. You could earn up to 2 free items from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Also, if your purchase the whole set of markers during Sale-a-Bration (Jan. 3-March 31), I will send you 3 video tutorials. Each video will focus on different ways to use your markers, how to shade, how to use the Color Lifter and how to use them to make your work of art look amazing. Yay!
The January host code is: JZYGFANU Use this code if your order is less than $150. Thank you!
